Elba Island belongs to the province of Livorno and is also the third biggest island of Italy. It is part of the popular Tuscan archipelago  that not only has a volcanic origin but a unique and beautiful nature, amazing coasts and a Natural Park. The island is 225 km², divided in eight provinces with Portoferraio as capital.

Yacht charter in Elba can be a great experience for your next holiday while you discover the Italian legend of this island. It is said that the island was created when Venus came out of the water and lost one of the pearls from her tiara. From that big and shiny pearl, the rest of the archipelago with its six islands was formed afterwards. Elba has a deep Italian tradition but it wasn’t until Napoleon’s abdication in 1815 that these islands started to be a part of Italy. After the Second World War, Italy also started to be a main tourism destination and the island of Elba gained popularity for its beautiful beaches and lovely towns. If you really want to enjoy your vacation on the beach, rent a boat in Elba and discover the magic of this Italian island. Do not miss the turquoise waters, the amazing coves and the Italian food.

If you love Italian food, Elba is the place to be.

If you maybe haven’t got a taste a lot of the traditional dishes, we definitely recommend you to enjoy this gastronomy during your yacht charter trip. Elba offers a spoil for choice in restaurants, bars and lovely terraces where you can order real Italian dishes and plates from the Tuscany. We recommend you to taste some wines from the area, especially white wine, red wine from Elba, the aleatico, moscato, rosato and the ansonica wine. Beer from the island of Elba also tastes very good together with olives, dishes with herbs, olive oil and all plates that have a Mediterranean pinch.
