Winter is as ideal a time as any to enjoy yacht charter, especially in places like the Caribbean, where you have the opportunity to discover quiet beaches and coves, free from the summer crowds, and in the highest comfort on your chartered yacht. For this reason, we have decided to expand our fleet of yachts in the British Virgin Islands, with three new luxury craft: 2 Nautitech 40 Open catamarans and a Lagoon 39 catamaran.

Here at aBoatTime, we think the best way to sail in the Caribbean is on a stylish craft, such as the Nautitech and Lagoon catamaran ranges. These are both from the French yacht maker Beneteau, one of the world’s most prestigious yacht makers, offering a wide range of pleasure craft with a wide variety of customisation options, complete with the latest seafaring technology.

Lagoon 39

The spacious Lagoon 39 is a powerful, yet easy to sail catamaran, thanks to its centrally located mast, which allows for greater manoeuvrability. It is a beautiful yacht to sail, with features such as an ergonomically designed cockpit with direct access to the deck.

The boat’s interior features a living-diner with a wooden table and chairs, and a fully featured kitchen, with stainless steel appliances. It is linked to the exterior deck by a large window which allows you to entertain whilst preparing dinner for your guests, and helps to ventilate the catamaran. Each of her cabins has space for luggage, a double bed, high ceilings and large windows which provide ample natural lighting. If you’re prone to seasickness, you’re sure to like this model, as she is designed to counter the sea’s rockiness.

Nautitech 40 Open

The Nautitech 40 Open is one of the most fashionable boats at the moment. She was recently nominated for the European Yacht of the Year 2015 award, for her manoeuvrability and her speed, the result of a new hull design which has reduced the overall weight of the vessel. The craft also provides the skipper with excellent side visibility, and therefore ensures a safe and pleasant voyage.

Her interior design by Marc Lombard, whose work is marked by its sophistication and harmony with passengers of the Nautitech yacht range. This model has a flexible saloon, which can be either used as a seating area or workspace, spacious and luxurious air conditioned cabins featuring a wardrobe and double bed.

These catamarans are a joy to sail, thanks to their sturdy nature and their excellent handling in the open sea, compared to sailboats, and they are therefore ideal for the calm waters of the British Virgin Islands. The islands are one of the Caribbean’s most popular for catamaran charter, thanks to their stable winds and their excellent sailing conditions which allow you to go snorkelling in the clear blue waters, enjoy their long sandy beaches, and the relaxing atmosphere unique to the Caribbean.

In addition, the convenience that a top of the range catamaran offers for you and your guests is unparalleled, allowing you to sail to beautiful Caribbean retreats, without the typical crowds.
