Are you tired of sitting on the beach all day throughout your vacations? Do the traditional water sports not appeal to you anymore? Are you craving for an adrenaline rush, while enjoying the beach and the sea? If that is the case, then don’t worry, we have you covered. Flyboarding, Aquatic Hover Board and the Jetlev Flyer are some of the new adrenaline rushing water sports that are becoming more and more popular throughout the world.

Two of these destinations are the Spanish islands of Ibiza and Formentera. When you charter a boat on one of these islands you can drop anchor by the beach, strap on and get ready to fly!

Flyboarding

Do you remember watching Ironman and thinking how awesome it would be if you could fly just like him, with jets coming out of your gloves and boots? Well, now you can make that dream a reality with Flyboarding!  A Flyboard is a device to which you strap in just like to a wake board, the Flyboard is attached to a Jet Ski through a flexible tube through which the Jet Ski pumps the water jet that then comes out of the Flyboard and propels the rider into the air. The rider is in complete control of the navigation of the Flyboard with an almost unlimited number of maneuvers possible (including flying underwater), while the throttle is controlled by the person on the Jet Ski. There are two models of Flyboards, the one that comes with hand jet stabilizers (providing the most accurate Ironman experience) and the one without the hand stabilizers (allowing you to fill like a dolphin).  Physical strength is not required to perform the delicate movements necessary to maneuver the device, coordination and balance are however extremely important. The rates for renting one of these toys typically float around US$150 for 30 minutes and $250 for an entire hour, the incredible experience is definitely worth it.

Aquatic Hover Board

This is more of a Back to the Future experience. Until the magnetic hover board is perfected, your best option to experience the joy of flying through the air on a board is the Aquatic Hover Board. Similar to the Flyboard in propulsion, the Aquatic Hover Board looks like a wake board with a jet of water coming from the back.

Jetlev Flyer

Taking more of a James Bond route, the Jetlev Flyer is another variation of the Flyboard propulsion technology, this time in the form of a jetpack that the rider straps to his/her back.  Capable of getting up to 10 meters of height and a velocity of 47 km/h the Jetlev Flyer is a ton of fun!
